As time goes on and I get a little older (42), I have noticed that heavy lifting not only produces a stiff, tight feeling, but also seems to retard my athleticism in a way; I actually feel as if I am less athletic when I lift heavy……. I notice a great deal more transfer (with athleticism) when I use bands.

As always, I want to thank you for all that you do in helping us get better with bands…much appreciated. As time goes on and I get a little older (42), I have noticed that heavy lifting not only produces a stiff, tight feeling, but also seems to retard my athleticism in a way; I actually feel as if I am less athletic when I lift heavy. Yes, I get better at lifting progressively heavier weight, but I do not honestly experience any real transfer in terms of athleticism. I do, however, notice a great deal more transfer when I use bands. I have a few friends, who have used pneumatic resistance and have enjoyed a large degree of transfer of training, but this type of equipment is more difficult to find where bands are super convenient.
