You’ve given us yet another excellent workout guidance column. Your previous guidance on the benefits of emphasizing pull vs push movements to help avoid shoulder stress has also been very helpful. I find that the day after a strenuous, higher-resistance workout, I can go with lighter bands, higher reps, all pull movements and enjoy a meaningful (and fun) workout session. That enables me to stay in the daily workout game which, at 75 years of age, is something I value. This month I had my annual physical, and my doctor said I’m the healthiest patient he has among his older patient group. I gave him your business card and explained how he would benefit by working out with RBT bands.

I came to RBT for a workout I could do at home, and your workouts are just right. I was surprised that your program would include metabolic along with muscle-building benefits. I’ve finally found a use for that extra bedroom.

I don’t have any criticism or suggestions for improving your system – you have done great things here, and I plan to continue. I’ve done many exercises: running, weights, swimming, treadmills, bikes, step aerobics, yoga, and tai chi. However, at this time in my life (early 70s), resistance band training best matches my body’s needs. I didn’t know I could still develop muscles like this.

I may set a new goal for my RBT training to see if I can get into good enough shape to take a martial arts class. For now, though, the 4-week Jump-Start Program keeps me busy.

Two years ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer, did the operation, got out of the hospital 2 days earlier than normal, went right back to coaching, working out and working.  And began chemo.  I’m not going to say it was easy or fun, but I was able to keep doing what I chose to pursue.

It’s now two years later, no traces of cancer.  I’ve got most if not all of my “mojo” back. Throughout the process my doctors told me I was an extreme outlier because of my level of fitness.  So you and your website have been the basis for a lot of what I do for many years before the cancer diagnosis, and during the diagnosis.

I  just renewed my Band Gym membership and want to tell you that it is the best money I could ever spend.

You often mention that one of the many benefits of training with resistance bands is convenience and that is so true.  I am fortunate to live in a community that has several exercise stations located throughout its park.  I enjoy going there often and get in a band workout.  It is so convenient because all I need to do is pack a few bands and a towel in my backpack and I am out the door.  I attach the bands to the exercise machines and am able to get a great workout. I also use some of the exercise machines and use bands for added resistance. It really is a great way for me to get in a fast outdoor workout.

I  just renewed my Band Gym membership and want to tell you that it is the best money I could ever spend. It not only gives me access to so much information contained in The Band Gym but the opportunity to receive daily workouts and exercise information emails from you. Thank you so much for all your time and effort in helping me to slow down Father Time through resistance band training

After using your program for about a year, nothing hurts. In Fact my gait is smooth and balanced.

Thanks for the warning.  I tried other band “experts” only to experience injuries, especially in my shoulders and hips. After using your program for about a year, nothing hurts. In fact, my gait (walking) is smooth and balanced.   I do have the X3 bar and footplate, which I use for heavy DLs, RDLs, front squats, and bench press. I will add an X3 movement, after completing one of your workouts.

I’ve been following you for quite a while now. I enjoy your insights on Band training and have been doing band training myself for about 4 yrs.

I’m going to be 65 yrs old  this year and I use the bands between playing Racquetball 3 days a week. I feel they give me the advantage of being in top physical condition to play the game without taking from my body.

I just want to tell you that I enjoy your site and I wish you continued success in the future.
