I like being able to explain the “what” and the “why” behind the training.. and you do that very well!!

I enjoy your videos! VERY informative!! The way you explain the exercises… the importance of them or why they matter is very helpful!! Also, how you explain the best movements for particular sports and why they are important! And last, but not least, you demonstrate a particular movement, give a progression and regression for that movement! I like being able to explain the “what” and the “why” behind the training.. and you do that very well!!

BTW, I’m a sports massage therapist, personal trainer, functional strength coach, and 63 years old!

Where do I start on the reasons I love the Band Gym. Around 2 years ago I was looking for a simpler way to work out with our weight equipment in our gym here at our 55 plus resort in Southern Texas. I wasn’t in love with working out with weights and weight machines.

Then I came across Dave and his Band Gym web page.  I knew I had found my way to exercise Nirvana. I love the ease of using the bands.  I don’t have to add or take off weight to adjust the exercise.  I just step forward or backward till I get the tension I desire for the exercise. I can take them with me anywhere I go and can always find a way to workout with them.  When we travel I have a set of bands with me so I can get my exercise in for the day. Whether the hotel we are staying has a gym or not.

I appreciate how he goes through each exercise so you can see how it is to be done. As a Band Gym member I have access to all his videos and articles. I have not once been sorry that I have joined the group and have gotten more from my membership than I paid for it .  

Dave does give you more than what you have paid for.

As an All Access Member of the Band Gym, I enjoy the wealth of helpful information and clear and concise instruction that is available to me.  Whether it is the Programs & Workouts or the Exercise Vault, the videos and instructions provide exactly the type of information I need to meet my fitness goals of “usable strength” and overall muscle tone.  

At various times in the past, I have tried to follow weight training programs and was never able to sustain them, whether due to injury or lack of proper instruction and technique.  I have been using resistance bands and relying on your instruction for two and a half years and have never had any of those issues.  I only wish I had discovered resistance bands and the Band Gym earlier.

One of the primary reasons I value my Band Gym membership is your ongoing dedication to expand fitness options for old timers like myself.  I was introduced to bands early in the COVID outbreak. My initial experience was with another website/company that got me started.  Once I was introduced to RBT, I found practical knowledge and motivation that was focused on long run health and wellness.  I don’t do all of the various exercises you introduce, but through experience I’ve learned to modify them to meet my limitations.

For you looking to enter the third phase of your life is an admirable goal.  For me, at 75 with granddaughters 16 and 13, my goal is to see them mature and allow me to meet great grandchildren.

You are an inspiration to all RBT members!

I realized as I was aging that I needed a joint-friendly resistance training format, enter the Band Gym.  I like all the routines, how to scale the exercises and the constant variety.  FYI, I purchased the Beginner Thunder-band last fall (2023) and used the PDF you sent me to develop my routines.

I start 6 days a week with a 2 mile walk. I use the bands 3X per week for a full body workout that usually lasts 35-38 mins, with an average heart rate of 136 (not too bad for 63). I engage in cardio 3 days (2 days swimming 1500 yards + a day on an exercise bike for 36 mins). One day I walk for 3-4 miles. 

My goal this year is to implement the mobility routines you strongly encourage (“movement over muscle”), to ensure I maintain the capability to move.    

The Band Gym gives me access to so many resources and variety, I never leave home without it.

Remember Dave, we are what we do, not what we say, behavior counts.

The biggest thing I enjoy (About The Band Gym) is how adaptable your system is for anybody, athletes, beginners, people who are older and have injuries too. But also customer service is the best there is because of you and Karen.

I have been training in the Band Gym since its inception. If it was not for RBT, I would not be able to train because of my injuries.

Weights have torn my body apart, you know of all the surgeries I have been able to avoid because of RBT and the band gym! 

The biggest thing I enjoy is how adaptable your system is for anybody, athletes, beginners, people who are older and have injuries too.  But also customer service is the best there is because of you and Karen.

At 63, I can’t run due to knee replacements. My heart rate was getting up to about 82 bpm before I started with the band gym.

Today my resting heart rate is 46 bpm. I think it’s improving everyday! Now there is no magic to this except showing up to The Band Gym consistently and following all the band gym insider info you send out freely, what an awesome gem full of valuable information that is!
