Just wanted to say your bands are great. I was doing bodyweight workouts last year and injured my shoulder. Then I got sick, I was getting overworked and my health went really downhill.
When I started physical therapy this year, they introduced me to bands with some basic rehab movements.
I looked up some different bands to use at home. 90% of the bands on the market are all the same. They’re not made to last. Sometimes they break right away. In other words, the other guys aren’t invested in my health and aren’t invested in their product. They just want to make a quick sale and move on.
I’m making a long term investment in my health. I’m taking care of myself and getting in shape. My health isn’t about a fad, a gimmick, or instant gratification.
What I like best about RBT is your own commitment, your own investment, in your health, and in your product. These bands are made to last, made to do real work, and made to support my program as long as I need. Your videos, all the information and support, and the products are all great.
These bands make a great upgrade to my regular routine and really help my progress in weaker spots where I need just a little help.

In addition to all of the beginners you’ve helped, there are probably a lot of people like me: Folks who were very into fitness and found themselves lost when Covid hit. We were locked out of our pricey gyms. Dumbbells were harder to get than toilet paper. We didn’t have the acrobatic skills to do body weight exercises without getting hurt. But you were right there for people like me– providing the education and equipment we needed to continue getting better.
One of the points you made in the interview is that people want a “one stop” package that does it all for them. One of the best things about your site and business is that you DON’T do this or claim to. Giving me the information to design my own workouts that fit my needs has been much more valuable. And, of course, being able to email you with questions has been uniquely awesome.

The Band Gym has been a game changer for me. I am 35 years old and have had 3 shoulder surgeries from football and baseball with the last one being 15 years ago. I have completed 2 Band Gym training programs and my shoulder has never felt better! I have been to physical therapy countless times over the years. Nothing has worked for my shoulder pain and tightness like the Band Gym. Of course, I have done “bands” before given this is a staple in physical therapy. However, training with You and your bands is on a whole different level. You’re a great coach who is very passionate, motivated, and innovative. You walk me through each workout step by step and provide helpful tips for every exercise. My overall physique, muscle tone, and stability have changed significantly and I feel better and look better. So much that my wife wants to start training with bands! Dave what a difference a few months will make. I have gone from 155 pounds to about 172 and very lean with your programs about to start a new one today and I’m very excited for the future. Built my band gym once the pandemic started it’s strong enough for all my pushing and pulling exercises to be attached. I work out in about a 12 by 14 room that doubles as my office. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular gym. I’m more athletic and stronger than I’ve been in a long time even when I was in the military lifting weights all the time. I just felt big and slow (190 pounds back then) . Now I just feel strong and athletic.

My goals with RBT are to be in better shape and more fit. I love lifting weights but I’m 52 years old and the weights beat me up now. I can’t lift as heavy or often with weight training. I was a fan of Lifeline USA cables and still do like them but after picking up some flat bands a few years ago I much prefer the bands to the cables. I’ve been following and watching your videos for about 10 years now and although I’ve seen a couple of people training with bands on the internet now, they don’t compare to the tremendous information and content that I’ve seen you put out. I started watching your videos on YouTube years ago while using bands that my friend supplied me with. Then this March I decided to get serious about routinely working out. I completed your Jump Start Program, at the intermediate level, then transitioned into the last two weeks of the 28 Day Challenge. I was so happy with my results and dedication to achieving better physical health that I then joined your Band Gym for the remainder of the year. The Momentum Builder is definitely taking it to the next level. The best part is knowing that the more I efficiently execute and push myself, the more the results will come. I love feeling muscle groups that I haven’t felt in a very long time.

I’m 66 and started in mid-February and am enjoying the gains in strength and flexibility. An old iliopsoas injury/condition has dramatically improved. My golf game is thanking you.
My wife Kathy, 65, taught Phys. Ed. For 37 years, retired 2 years ago and was ready to have a knee replacement April 1. Fortunately, Covid-19 delayed that operation. She started the bands in March, not being able to spin and body pump at the gym, and is now an avid fan. Squats and lunges were a killer to start (for us both). Her knee is no longer bothering her, and if this continues, will not need the replacement. I think strength, mobility and stabilization are big factors.
We walk 18 holes of golf in CT (not flat) twice each week. And, this week bicycled 26 miles on a rail trail for our first ride of the season. Enjoying the activity and still feeling great when done is our proof!

I have invested in so much equipment from TRX, to a homemade industrial grade pull-up bar, homemade box jump, slam balls, kettlebells, lots of dumbbells, RB with handles, jump ropes, courses with workouts, workout programs, personal coaching, etc…
But none of them compare to your approach on fitness. Everyone talks about how to look better naked, get sexy, beach body, blah blah blah…
Over the years, and after being a gym rat of doing 8-10 Session/week your programs prove that you can still train optimally with minimum days per week.

I started training with “round” bands a number of years ago, when I found myself on the road. I always trained at home, if I trained at all. Mostly, I jogged. As much as I tried, I never “took to” weights. I have a small barbell/dumbbell weight set but when I tried to train with them I’d get too fatigued after a couple of months. Also, I just didn’t enjoy them. When I got older, I couldn’t even do a number of basic lifts without pain. When I discovered you, Dave, and tried flat rubber bands, along with your workout programs, I finally learned what training is supposed to be like. And, I like it. Thanks, so much. I am a healthy 70 year old non-athlete who’s just trying to stay in shape for life.
Man, I can’t tell you how working out with the bands makes me feel. I am extremely overweight and was totally humiliated by the comments and look of contempt that I received from those jocks who thought they were better than me. I could never find anyone willing to spot for me. Needless to say that gym membership didn’t last long. I decided to look for weight systems online when I came across the rubberband man. Not only were they less expensive, but I could do far more positions than free weights allowed. They are truly a life saver! I thank God that I came across these bands of freedom.
Hi Dave, I wanted to thank you for doing this challenge for us. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it! I reached out to you a couple of years ago with a knee injury. I purchased a starter package with the attachments, 2 red and 2 black bands and the green 13″ stabilizer (which really helped my knee regain some strength).
This challenge has finally given me the motivation to truly get started with some real training. I definitely like it better than free weights and I can feel myself getting stronger.

I want to say WOW on your creativity in bands. I have spent my life finding creative ways to stay in shape either being underwater on submarines or in the Desert in Afghanistan.
I have been teaching TRX and kettlebells for over 10 yrs and have gotten into using bands through NSPA and IYCA while playing a little here and there.
I work with a lot of kids and love the idea of the bands and how creative you have come up with ways to do it!
Damon Mathis, a trainer out of Ohio, told me about how creative you are.
I am hoping when things calm down with this I can buy in bulk. I see you’re getting low, but red is all I really need for now and you got those ahah.

I am sending you a quick “hello” via email because I no longer am on Facebook. I also wanted to say thanks. You’ve given me hope and something to work towards in these uncertain times.
I’m in my 50s. Going to the gym six days a week was something I loved and looked forward to even when it was a grind. Progressive overloads and hitting new PRs gave me a sense of pride and progress. Then the quarantine lockdown happened. It became clear to me that my gym days would be over for the foreseeable future.
My home setup is limited. I have a couple of kettlebells, a bench, two 30 lb dumbells, a TRX, and a couple of light bands. There isn’t an adjustable dumbbell to be had on this planet.
I tried all the body weight exercises the internet “gurus” were talking about. But getting true progressive overload using body weight or a TRX is difficult at best. I was also getting sore and pulling muscles. I hurt too much to go near the TRX. So I picked up one of my light bands in order to do something… anything at all.
Then I found one of your videos on YouTube. Now I know that progressive overload is very doable with bands. I’m excited about the new challenge and have already started using the few bands I have. The two bands I ordered from you should be a big help.
I know it’s a long email. In these times, I think it’s important to let people who make a difference know it.

Of all the certifications I’ve worked on since becoming a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer last year, this Resistance Band Training certification from Dave Schmitz & Resistance Band Training will probably be my favorite & most cherished.
When I became I trainer I wanted to figure out how to make exercise easy & portable because I knew working at a gym wouldn’t fit with my current 9-5 & family life. At that point I came across flat looped resistance bands & immediately fell in love. It’s been a joy learning how to use bands the last few months & I’ve already noticed how they’ve impacted my own workouts.
Not only that, but Dave has been very kind & willing to share his knowledge beyond the certification. He’s a great teacher & mentor that I hope to continue learning from for years to come!
I look forward to sharing this knowledge with others as I help them achieve their fitness goals!
Lately all I have been doing is contrast training, except for 1 or two days a week that I do just strictly a band only metabolic workout. For me and all my incurred injuries over time, at 59 yrs old, it has been a game changer for me!! I can now do things that I thought were done and gone forever. Thanks so much for enlightening me on contrast training.

A game changer for me has been the split squats, which have activated my glutes, helped my knees and even improved my pelvic floor coordination and function! Can’t say enough about that benefit, as a woman over 50!
I had been training with bands on my own before I found you, because I had discovered their usefulness while I was rehabbing a knee. The extra support of a band setup allowed me to complete difficult range of motion exercises while I came back. I did supported pushups, supported squats and shoulder mobilizations, just from fooling around on my own. Your systems and accessories are really taking me far beyond what I had been able to do.
As you know, most people just don’t get how amazing band work is, for low impact strength and flexibility applications. It can be endlessly adapted, and I love that! I’m thrilled to have found you and your body of work. Fantastic job, Dave.

My goals with RBT are to maintain muscle and muscle tone and to keep flexible and fit. I’ve been using bands for the last 3 or 4 years. Before that I’ve trained with weights for 30+ years. My focus has changed as I get older, as yours probably has Dave. At my age of 50 my aim isn’t the same as it was when I was 16 when I first started training. I’m finding that I enjoy training with bands more (than with traditional weights) with the variety and ease of use, also the fact that they are so portable (I take them with me even when I go on vacation).
Anyway, Dave can I take a moment to say that you are an inspiration and a very genuine person, I watch every single video you upload on your YouTube channel for ideas. Thank you for taking the time to read my email, keep up the good work, from one of your fans in the U.K

After the IYCA summit almost 8 years ago when you introduced me to adding bands into my program I still have and use most of the original bands at my center everyday. A big thank you! If they broke more often I would be buying more or I guess if they broke too much I might need to go somewhere else. So thanks for creating and promoting a great product. I continually revisit your educational materials I have gotten like the IYCA resistance band instructors course, flexibility, and quick kids camp. As you know they are great for everyone. I feel I do a pretty good job keeping them healthy although a couple knucklehead coaches/student athletes don’t follow rules and they wear down faster as you know. I am about to put in another small order in and more before the summer to run larger groups. As always, the growing strength coaches are on a budget. Thank you again for bringing a great product to the industry.

Hi Dave, I am a new band gym member, but have been training most of my life. I have really valued your teaching videos over recent years and acquired an assortment of your quantum bands. Up to now, I have been using bands in a somewhat supplementary fashion to other training I was doing. Early on, I found your recommendations on horizontal vector work and standing core work as particularly enlightening. I decided to join the band gym to go deeper. As I have gotten older, I have been exploring how to train vigorously in ways that build me up – not tear me down…..and bands definitely seem to have a place in that. I am 65 and fit and very active. I just wanted to share that I am quite impressed with all the information and direction you are providing in the band gym site. The resource is well worth the membership price! I am doing 5-6 sessions a week with the bands. My 74 year old body is changing and I am looking a lot more youthful. I don’t see any 74 year olds around here that look as good as I do.
Many years ago I was a track cyclist. When I was 46 I had a very bad accident on my track bike and I lost the use of my right arm for 7 months. I severely damaged the brachial plexus. I lost a tremendous amount of muscle in my right arm and shoulder and upper back. I rehabbed myself but was never the same. My bicep was about the diameter of a pencil. Over the years I’ve gained a lot back but never got above about 80%.
Since I got bands I have been concentrating a lot of effort to bring myself back to 100% on my right side. Dave, I am almost there. I have had significant muscle growth in arm, shoulder and upper back and traps. The bands make it easy to reach into hard to work old muscles. My right bicep is nearly as large as my left and I am sure I will equalize my right and left sides.
This is great stuff. A 74 year old CAN gain muscle. My waist is smaller now as well. I am down two pants sizes but am up 3 pounds from my lowest. That can only mean I have gained muscle. BTW, the instructions in the band gym are very helpful.
