Do the bands come with any warranty???

“The Band” by Performax comes with a 1 year warranty (excluding red small and orange micro bands) for defective bands. If any of your bands (excluding red and orange) are defective, they are replaced immediately. Bands that are defective tear straight, while bands that are being overstretched or miss used tear in a shredded or jagged manner.   All we ask is that you are honest with us when it comes to damaged bands.

How Long have resistance bands been around??

Resistance bands have been around since 1980. Most of the early bands were primarily made out of a rubber similar to that used in tires or were single layed for rehab purposes. They were typically looked upon as large rubber band that could be used to offer resistance for running or to simulate machines for home gym use.

However it wasn’t until the early 1990′s that bands began to be used as a functional strength training tool. It is in the functional arena that resistance bands have found their home and will continue to dominate with versatility, durability, and incredible results.

Resistance band’s ability to accelerate momentum and gravity while challenging ground reaction time is the key to enhancing functional movement.   Resistance bands like “The Band by PERFORMAX” is the only training tool that can accomplish that.

What do I hook Resistance Bands To??

You can hook bands to anything that is stable and does not have an edge that could possibly damage the band.

Here are few things I use…..

• Goal post
• Basketball Pole or Standard
• Tennis net poles
• Teammate or Training Partner
• Weight Machines with round pipe construction
• Treadmill bars
• Pipes on the Wall
• Playground Equipment that is round

These are all  convenient options to make band training an anywhere training tool.

CAN’T FIND ANYTHING LIKE THIS??

NO PROBLEM – Using a Resistance Band Utility Strap, you can attach it to:

• Picnic tables
• Door Jam
• Trees
• Fence Posts
• Soccer Goals
• Bleacher

This Band Utility Strap allows individuals to literally train anywhere without worrying about damaging their bands.

Is there a difference between Resistance Bands???

Absolutely!! Resistive Bands are constructed 2 ways – Molded or Layered. Molded bands are created by pouring liquid latex into a mold and letting it harden.  Molded bands are a weaker type band because they do not use  what I call the “matrix effect”.

Layered bands like The Band by PERFORMAX are formed by bonding multiple layers of latex together with a strong epoxy that is heated. This creates a much stronger matrix bond between layers which increases band durability.  If a layered band gets a slight cut along the side of the band, it will not tear easily because there are multiple layers holding it together.  Once a molded band sustains a slight cut,  they will tear like a piece of paper because it is all one piece.

Another unique feature of “The Band” is the use of “Latex Bonding”. Latex bonding is the process of heating each layer as it is layed down versus heating the entire band after it fully constructed.  This is important because if you do not get a strong seal between layers, air bubbles can form.  When these air bubbles are  stretched, they can pop and ultimately cause the band to break.  Latex bonding doesn’t eliminate this but it has decreased defective bands by over 99%.

Most flat resistance bands are molded and therefore you need to question the construction of a band before you purchase.  The Band by Performax is a layered band and is the  only layered bands on the market that states the use of Latex Bonding.

How many bands do I need??

How Many Bands do I need for my 20 Person BootCamp??

First of all it will depend on if you want to train exclusively with bands or in stations with other training tools. If using stations, you need to determine which exercises you want and how many people will be at that station. From there you can determine how many bands and what accessories will be needed.

If bands exclusively, you will need to determine how many stations and how many bands and accessories you need per station. If you are going to train in partnerships you will need essentially one band per person. Now depending on your population, you will need to look at using smaller bands ( Red or Black  with handles) for upper torso training  and heavier bands (light and average bands) for lower torso and locomotion training.

If you wish, email us at support@resistancebandtraining.com and we will help you outfit your bootcamp with resistance bands.
