Band Belt Setup Super Sized Combination Workout - 15th February 2012

Band Belt Setup that is Super Sized

Since the Band Belt setup is so comfortable, it can stay connected up for a relatively long period of time.   You will have to be the judge of this but if you only have a low to moderate resistance applies, like I do in these upcoming workout videos, you should be able to go through a 4 to 6 minute workout without having to change.

Let me take you through a pretty simple band combo workout first.  This uses 1 band, your call, and the band belt setup.  Keep in mind that the more challenging the lower band the larger the belt needs to be.

Red and Black work well with Blue

Purple works better with Gray

Red can work with Green

All of these are 4 minute workouts that follow the Tabata’s 20-10 format.   I suggest unhooking your feet in between workouts to give yourself a break.  Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to reconnect.

High Pull

Push Press

Horizontal Squat Pull

Horizontal Squat Push

Front Squat

Straight leg Deadlift or Deadlift

Unilateral Pull Right and Left

Unilateral Push Right and Left

What is really exciting about the Band Belt Setup is it allows you to train without even knowing it’s hooked up.

PS… Band Purchase Recommendations for the Belt Resistance Band Setup

My suggestion is you consider picking up a Large Single Band Package if you wish to train at home using the Belt set up or if you are looking at setting it up with partners, pick up an Advanced Band Package or Professional Band Package if you want to load up with stronger lower bands.   Lastly, if you have all the bands except the XX-Large Blue bands or XXX-Large Gray bands, all you need to do is pick up a pair of those and you can start using the  resistance band belt setup.

that rdl with the band set-up actually looks like it would be a awesome tool for teaching proper form with the rdl

The new belt band set-up is not a new idea as you have al;ready said, but with the use of bands it is very interesting. And for me personally I have my eyes open for new exercises that do not involve the neck and traps because I developed 3 bulging disks in my neck (old age is a pain in the neck) so when I use my arms my neck takes the hit.. Push-uo position, planks. Bummer hey. Thanks for all you do.

    Dave-
Great application. Would you consider selling the belt size bands as singles? Why buy 2 if you’re only going to use one in the basement-
