Just How Versatile are resistance bands?? - 17th August 2010

I have been saying it for years.

Resistance Bands are the most versatile

training tool ever developed.   When you

consider all the reasons for getting started on a

training program which could include:

Fat Lose

Speed and Performance

Muscle development

Flexibility and Recovery

Cardiovascular enhancement

Power Development

Look at where Resistance Bands is  showing up these days.

Fitness Boot camps

Weight rooms of all levels

Rehab facilities

 Fitness centers across the world

Anywhere speed is being trained

Home gyms

Garage Gyms

Middle school PE Classes

Training Gyms and studios

Corporate fitness facilities

Power lifting training centers

Martial arts studios

I am not sure you can say that about any other training tool or piece of training equipment.  Resistance band can impact all facets of fitness and performance.

Why do I mention this??

I just received a video from Adam Reeder a resistance band fitness pro who obviously takes his band training serious.  However Adam didn’t want me to write about him, instead he wanted me to learn about his boss, John Dadante, who has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years as a certified personal trainer, gym owner (Personally Fit Health Center) and individual who believes in resistance band training.

After watching this video it became even more amazing to me just how important it is to get band training into all workouts.  You may not agree with all the exercises you are about to see but you cannot ignore the versatility and innovation that comes with resistance band training.

PS… The Unleashed DVD Series takes you through how to set all of these exercises up and a whole lot more in case you are interested in learning more about the versatility of training with resistance bands.

WOW, Personally Fit has a great thing going!! As a certified resistance band instructor, I have to comment that this video by Adam Reeder & John Dadante is a great example of how the bands can enhance and improve any exercise! Adam and John have introduced amazing ideas on how to utilize the bands and take training to the next level. Hope to see more from them in the future!! Thanks to you, Dave, for your informative posts!!

    Al,

I think you should go upstairs to the hip. Check out hip rotation flexibility, glut medius strength, and hip flexor/quad flexibility. The knee is typically the victum not the cause. The hip does a great job of hiding deficits.
